Hey Everyone, I will be starting The Native Rose soon, in the mean time here is a little article on me:
Space 15 Twenty Employee Feature: Angelica Bonomo

Angelica Bonomo is an LA native photographer/stylist that spends her time drinking too much coffee, daydreaming about the rock-roll of the 60/70's, and doing serious damage at thrift stores on a weekly basis. Angelica currently is a Fashion Assistant at Foam Magazine, and shoot/styles the weekly Urban Renewal Special Vintage posts for the Space 1520 blog.
1520: Describe your favorite outfit?
AB: I'm in love with high rise skinny leg jeans stuffed into a pair of boots that add a little somethin' somethin' to my walk, and topping it up with a flowy floral print top. I kind of have an old-lady floral print fetish, especially when comes to roses. I can never have enough.
1520: What was the most exciting piece of clothing you found thrifting?
AB: Very hard to pick just one, so I'll narrow it to my top 3; my crop motorcycle leather jacket, my blue velvet rose burn-out shawl, and black/white ikat print jacket.
1520: What would you do on your perfect day off?
AB: Waking up to a quite empty house on a weekday then grabbing the made just right cup coffee, strolling into an empty thrift store and scoring a bag of goodies, buying the new issues of my favorite magazines off the newsstand, and sneaking in outside food into an early bird half/price movie.
1520: What 3 things inspire you most?
AB: - The late 60's/70's rock-roll/free-spirit hippies. I'm convinced that I should have lived in this time.
- Southern California/beach culture: Working at Foam Magazine has really opened my eyes to how much I love where I live, and the culture that exist here.
-Street Fashion-I love people that can rock whatever they are wearing, that can put pieces together, not just labels. It's because of these people that I got into fashion/photography in the first place.
The Rose Bowl Flea Market is my happy place, It's the best combination of all three of my inspiration sources.

1520: What is your life motto?
AB: Happiness is a state of being not a destination. Happiness will constantly come and go like every other emotion, so it's our job to go out and find it again. For me this means you have to be conscious of the present, and enjoy it; all the times and things that make you happy. But it also means to keep dreaming, to keep working for tomorrow because life doesn't stop. Sometimes it's hard to remember to do both.
Thanks Angelica!
